As Hiring Specialist / HR Recruiter (m/f/d) you are directly reporting to the HR Management and will be an essential part of our journey, with plenty of opportunities for your own personal and professional growth.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the full-cycle recruiting process for all open positions – from kick-off with hiring managers through offer negotiation and close
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of engineering, product, and business talent through proactive sourcing via LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, defence networks, and other channels
- Design and continuously improve structured interview processes and assessment frameworks that are both rigorous and candidate-friendly
- Partner closely with C-level and team leads to understand hiring needs, define role profiles, and set realistic timelines
- Own and continuously optimise our employer branding presence on LinkedIn, job boards, and at relevant career events
- Maintain our ATS (Applicant Tracking System), track recruiting KPIs, and report on pipeline health and time-to-hire
- Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from first contact to day one – representing Q’s mission and culture authentically at every touchpoint
Your Profile
- Completed university degree in Psychology, Business, HR Management, or a related field – or equivalent hands-on recruiting experience
- 2+ years of hands-on recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth tech start-up or scale-up; experience hiring technical profiles is a strong plus
- Proven track record of proactive, data-driven talent sourcing – you know how to find and engage passive candidates who aren’t actively looking
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and switching between strategic thinking and hands-on execution – you write JDs, post jobs, and source candidates yourself
- Strong communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously – you gather input, align quickly, and keep the process moving
- High ownership and bias for action – you take pride in filling roles fast without cutting corners on quality, and you hold yourself accountable to the numbers
- Familiarity with the defence-tech, deep-tech, or dual-use ecosystem is a bonus but bot necessary
- Experience building recruiting infrastructure from scratch (ATS setup, interview templates, sourcing strategies) in a fast-scaling start-up environment is a big plus
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) – both are used daily in hiring conversations, job postings, and stakeholder communication
