About Us
Project Q GmbH ("Q") is a Germany-based DefenceTech company with offices in Berlin and Munich. We network market-available sensors, effectors, or situational awareness systems into a tactical IoT backbone that reliably provides armed forces and security agencies with cross-domain information superiority — automated, scalable, and cost-efficient.
Our solutions integrate seamlessly into existing defence and maritime infrastructures, delivering fast data fusion and AI-enhanced analytics for robust situational awareness in dynamic environments. We build platform-agnostic systems that enable real interoperability across domains.
About the Team
Q`s Operations Team turns company’s strategy into reality: shipped hardware, working sites, processes and systems that hold up under pressure. We own the critical stuff in the background so engineering can engineer, sales can sell, and leadership can lead – without anyone getting stuck on a broken process, a missing part, or a spreadsheet held together by hope.
If something moves, gets ordered, built, tracked, or logged into a system – Operations is usually the reason it works.
Your Role
As Intern Operations, you join our team with real responsibility from week one. You will work closely with our COO and Operations team, as well as with a wide range internal and external stakeholders. You will help us to shape processes that will scale with the company!
What you'll do
Procurement and supplier coordination: Request and compare quotes, track lead times, and follow up with suppliers and vendors on orders and deliveries.
Logistics and supply chain: Coordinate shipments with logistics providers and customs, and keep order tracking and inventory accurate.
Site operations: Support the day-to-day operations as well as events at Berlin sites in Mitte and Tegel.
Finance and compliance interfaces: Prepare purchase orders, reconcile invoices with Finance, and support Legal/Compliance on export control documentation and security procedures.
Process improvement: Spot bottlenecks in our operational workflows and turn messy, ambiguous tasks into clear, repeatable processes.
Documentation and workflows: Keep documents, inventory records, and our internal tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira, ERP) up to date.
You should apply if you
Have ongoing or completed study in supply chain management, business administration, industrial engineering or another technical field.
Are available to work full-time for at least 3 months, ideally 6, starting from December 2026.
Take ownership: you drive tasks to completion without being chased and flag problems early.
Think in structures and bring order to ambiguous work, with a sharp eye for detail.
Adapt easily to shifting priorities in a startup environment.
Handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Are interested working in the defence sector and genuinely motivated to contribute to European safety.
Speak German at least at C1 level, and English at least at B2 level.
You'd be a great fit with
Prior internship or part-time work in operations, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or project management.
Experience in a startup, scale-up, or hardware/manufacturing environment.
Solid Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
Familiarity with ERP, inventory, or project tools such as Confluence, and Jira.
Interest in staying with us longer, for example as a working student after your internship or a permanent employee.
We offer
The chance to be a part of our growth story and work on technology that strengthens European security and defence capability.
A varied role with real responsibility, based in Berlin-Mitte and Berlin-Tegel.
Flat hierarchies and a pleasant working environment.
Opportunities for professional and personal development.
2.5 days of paid vacation per month of your internship (equivalent to 30 days per year).
